Workin' out the kinks.

So I finally figured out the comments section. Now you guys can all leave comments, unlike Xanga where you have to have an account in order to write something. I did this in hopes of encouraging more responses from my readers/friends. Feedback is always welcome!

I finished packing today. Yay for accomplishing one of the hardest things on my To Do Before Departure list. Next, I'm going to figure out how to work my video cam so I can post videos of my Australian adventures here. I prepare for odd things early. :D Speaking of odd, I can't believe it's Wednesday already. My flight is on Thursday, 10:30 p.m., so luckily I still have a few daylight hours to tie up any loose ends, but still.... time sure flies. People have been asking me if I feel excited about my impending departure. Normally, I would say yes, but right now all I can say is that I feel nervous and stressed. Since I'm arriving a week before orientation starts, I need to find a decent (i.e. affordable, clean and safe) place to stay and that's turning out to be more difficult than I thought it would be. Life is a series of obstacles. All I can do is hope for the best and believe in one of my favorite quotes: "It's funny how things work out."

Major props to Pai En for sending me a lovely e-mail with the Disneyland picture she took of me. :) ~ <3 I had no idea what her intentions were when she asked me to pose in front of Californialand. Thanks, Pai En!

I will definitely miss my Californians.

one of my NY/CA friends used to say "you can take a girl out of Cali but you can't take the Cali out of a girl."
